The Dry Hot Moscow Summer

The summer of 2010 in Moscow will not only be remembered as just "hot", but will be noted in the meteo record books as such.
Yes, high temperature record was beaten a couple times, and is now 37,2 C (about 100 F).

In addition, to make it even more "pleasant", the peat bogs started burning in the Moscow south east region providing a thick stinky smog all over the city. I remember the same thing happening in 2002, but it was much shorter, and in the end of August, when the heat was in decline. But this year, oh, it really is outstandingly hot. The positive thing is that now we have a/c installed, and it helps a lot. Also, swimming in the pool, eating ice cream and fruits, and drinking water helps to survive.

So, little one, just stay as long as you can in your hotel, I'd even advise you a late checkout;)
